Healthy Selfie Challenge

Aug 13, 2021 | Announcements, Wellness Program | 1 comment

Last week, Kuehne Company challenged its employees to send in at least 2 healthy selfies to encourage everyone to finish strong in this summer’s company-wide Wellness Wednesday initiative.

Mario Cifuentes and his wife, Sharon, enjoying a 10 mile hike at Gifford Pinchot State Park!

Many employees accepted the challenge, sending in pictures of a wide variety of activities ranging from simple things like drinking water, to extreme hiking, weightlifting, and bicycling. Each employee who submitted photos will receive a $50 gift card!

Other activities that were promoted this year as part of Kuehne’s first ever Wellness Wednesday health initiative include healthy cooking recipe challenges, healthy snack-food giveaways, and Vitamin – a weekly email with fun tips on how to stay healthy.

Kuehne was pleased with the amount of participation and hopes to see even more people participating in future wellness programsWe would like to thank everyone who participated in the challenges, made use of the resources, and provided feedback and additional ideas.

Moving forward, Kuehne is happy to be partnering with Cigna® to introduce Omada®—a personalized program that helps you reach your health goals through sustainable lifestyle change. This new program will be free of charge to those who qualify. Please speak with HR for more information about this program.

Patrice goes hiking with her Goddaughter and a friend in El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico – the only tropical rainforest in the national forest system!

We also hope to see a continuation of healthy eating habits, exercise, and a general enthusiasm for wellness among the employees of Kuehne Company. We will be continuing to send out a monthly version of the Vitamin email to keep the importance of health and wellness in everyone’s minds.

And please continue to let us know what kinds of fun programs you would like to see happening at Kuehne Company! If you haven’t already, find some extra encouragement by feasting your eyes on the delicious and healthy meals prepared by fellow team members in the Recipe Challenge
